The Brevard Orchestra Association sponsors performances by musical ensembles and performing arts groups under its Music in the Schools program. Elementary and middle school students are introduced to several of the instrument families throughout the school year.
This year, Opera Carolina will be presenting “The Three Little Pigs,” on January 18. Arrangements are underway for performances by the Laurel Mountain String Quartet, the Pyramid Brass and a woodwind group from Brevard College.
BOA wishes to extend a particular thanks to Brevard College and the Transylvania County Library for their co-sponsorship and expresses thanks also to Dr. Sonna Lyda, Superintendent of Schools and to the school board for their cooperation with these events.
